Taking Screen Shots
On a Windows operating system, you can use the Snipping Tool to take the necessary screen shots. , while on a Mac, you can use keystroke combinations to take screen shots of the full screen or a portion of the screen.
On a Windows Computer
To take screen shots using the Windows Snipping Tool

Create a folder on the desktop. |

Right-click in the desktop and from the pop-up menu, select New > Folder. |

Rename the folder BR.io_Errors. |
|
2.
|
Click the Search icon ( ) at the bottom of the screen and type Snip in the field. |
|
3.
|
Under Best Match, click Snipping Tool. |
The Snipping Tool application opens.
|
4.
|
From the Mode drop-down list, select Rectangular Snip. |
Note: Using Rectangular Snip, you can specify the area to capture. For a full-screen capture, select Full-screen Snip.
The cursor changes to a cross-hair shape.

Move the cursor to draw a rectangle around the area to capture. |
The screen shot appears in the Snipping Tool screen.

8.
|
Select the BR.io_Error folder on the desktop and enter a name for the screen shot. |

9.
|
Click Save to save the screen shot to the folder. |

On a Mac Computer
To create a folder on the Mac Home Screen

1.

Right-click and select New folder. |
|
2.
|
Select the folder and right-click, and then select Rename. |
|
3.
|
Name the folder BR.io_Errors. |
Note: Screen shots are automatically saved to the Home screen, but you can select the files and drag them to the BR.io_Errors folder.
To capture the full screen

Press and hold SHIFT + COMMAND + 3. |
To capture a portion of the screen
|
1.
|
Press and hold SHIFT + COMMAND + 4. |
|
2.
|
Drag the crosshair cursor across the applicable area and then release the keys. |
Tip: To move the selection, press and hold the space bar while dragging the cursor.
To capture a window or menu
|
1.
|
Open the applicable window or menu. |
|
2.
|
Press and hold SHIFT + COMMAND + 4 + SPACE BAR. |

3.
|
When the cursor shows a camera, click the window or menu to take the screen shot. |
Tip: To exclude the shadow, press and hold the Option key when you click the area.
