Instrument Connection or Linking Issues
Review the information in the following sections for connection or linking issues. If the problem is not resolved, contact Bio-Rad Technical Support.
Port Information
BR.io uses network port 8883 to connect to instruments. Your network administrator should ensure that port 8883 is not blocked.
Issues With Linking Your PTC Tempo Thermal Cycler
Any of the issues listed below might have occurred if the link from your PTC Tempo thermal cycler to BR.io failed.
Important: If you receive an error using the first code, you must repeat the linking process from the instrument to receive a new code. To repeat the linking process, open the PTC Tempo Help system and open the Linking Your Instruments topic.

Your network or wireless connection is disrupted or lost before the link to BR.io is completed.
● | Code provided has expired |
Linking codes are valid for one hour. You must complete each linking process within 60 minutes of receiving the code.
● | Linking process was canceled before completion |
The linking process cannot be interrupted before the link is completed.
● | Code was used |
Each code is valid once. If the linking process fails, you must retry to get a new code.
● | Incorrect BR.io user account naming convention |
You must use lower-case characters in your BR.io user name email address.
