Managing PCR Protocols
A protocol is a set of steps that are associated with options on the CFX Opus PCR system and run in a specific sequence.
For example, the steps instruct the instrument to
● | Control the block and lid temperatures |
● | Apply a temperature difference (gradient) across the block |
● | Take a plate read |
● | Perform a melt curve analysis |
● | Create a (goto) step loop |
You can also upload and export protocol (prcl) files. For information, see Uploading Files and Exporting Files.
For information on the protocol design, see About PCR Protocols.
Before you can set up PCR runs in BR.io, you must create the protocols you will use in your experiments. For information, see Creating or Editing Protocols.
Note: After users are added to an organization and assigned to an organization project, they can manage their protocols from their My BRio folder or from a shared projects folder. For more information about organizations, see Organization Management.
